At the moment, the euro exchange rate is creeping up again and hopefully visitors will begin to understand that there has been a lot of scare-mongering about ‘value for money’ in the euro-zone. Bar & restaurant prices have changed little since last year as owners absorb increases themselves and competition makes them more creative.
Roda has something of a reputation for being a centre for independent travellers and the introduction of new services by easyJet has helped many people return to their favourite village. There can be few places in the world where there is so much freedom, hospitality, history and sheer joy – make sure you get your small slice this year.
The world recession and the actions of tour operators have had a significant influence on the numbers of visitors to Greece this year and there is no way of accurately predicting how this will change in the immediate future. We can
